Abstract
The Journal of Physical Therapy (JPT) is stepping into its second year (third volume) of successful dissemination of research findings with information shared across the globe in the field of physical therapy. The aim of this editorial is to explore into the basis behind therapy decisions made for the benefit of the patient and other stake-holders. The recent ensuing evidence-informed paradigm shift warrants a unique balance between an impairment-based and a mechanism-based therapeutic model than their preceding symptomatic or syndrome-based models.
