FAMILY COUNSELING: A PATTERN OF PRACTICE

Abstract
As a social system the family has a great place in an individual’s life and the society because of providing support functions to the members. One of the aim of social work is improving problem solving skills of individuals. When a problem occur in a family, social work tries to solve the problem using family counseling techniques. Therefore an intervention with family of S. Which has problems about domestic communication and contiuning the marriage has been conducted. At the end of the intervention process, communication patterns of the family has been improved positively. Unhelathy family functions decrease while healthy family functions increase. Couple has decided to trty continuing their marriage.
