Yeni çok fonksiyonlu kilitli intramedullar ulna çivi sistemi

Fuat Akpınar.

Abstract

Key words: İntramedullar çivi, İntramedullar tespit, ulna

New multifunctional locking intramedullary nailing system for ulna

Özet
Intramedullary nailing of long bones does have many advantages, including early union, low incidence of infection, small scars, less blood loss, and short operating time with minimal surgical trauma etc. Intramedullary fixation is increasingly preferred, especially following traumatic injuries of femur and tibia.
However, owing to the characteristic anatomical features of the ulna, intramedullary fixation methods in the adults, whether reamed or unreamed, locked or unlocked, can not be extensively used. Unreamed locked nails have been slightly favoured in recent years.
Purpose of the paper was to present the design and advantages of the new intramedullary nailing system for ulna.

Anahtar Kelimeler: Intramedullary nail, intramedullary fixation, ulna
