The Need of Social Group Work for Adolescents Under Protection

Abstract
The objective of this study is to determine the need of social group work for adolescents under protection. The sample was consisted of 60 girls and 102 boys between 11-19 years of age. A questionnaire was used to collect relevant data. A list of psyhological, social and sexual needs was prepared and the subjects were asked to mark five items they considered most important. In terms of psychological needs “to gain self-confidence” was found most important for girls whereas “overcoming avoidance” was found to be most important both in boys and girls. In terms of sexual needs “to communicate with the opposite sex” and “to obtain information about sexual” were considered most important subjects for girls and boys
