 | | | | Abstract Bell’s palsy is considered as a disease of exclusion. It is a form of lower motor neuron paralysis affecting the facial muscles. Rapid onset of paralysis causes panic to the patients. For speedy recovery, correct diagnosis and early treatment are crucial. Here a case of Bell’s palsy is reported and the literature on Bell’s palsy is reviewed. Key words: Bell’s palsy, idiopathic facial palsy, facial nerve.
