Online access to health information: How is it safe?

This reviews’ aim is to provide a viewpoint about online health information seek and use behaviors of health care consumers. Internet is a great potential for health information. It has become one of the significant sources for patients and their family members who look for health information recent years. An increasing number of people use internet to look for information related to health, because they want to take responsibility on their health. There are some advantages and disadvantages for online health information. Healthcare providers should aware this advantages and disadvantages, the impact of internet health information on the overall healthcare system. Healthcare providers must facilitate therapeutic communication and provide guidance to patients about the use of the internet as a source of health information.
