Kidney injuries are the most frequently seen injuries of the urinary system. They are classified as blunt renal injuries and penetrating renal injuries. Penetrating renal injuries are clinically very important since they can be life-threatening. Most of penetrating renal injuries are caused by gunshot. The anterior surface of each kidney is anatomically related to many vital organs. Also injuries in the related organs may be life-threatening. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to determine with imaging methods whether the kidneys and surrounding organs are injured or not. In this paper, a rare case of gunshot wound where the bullet entered the body from the back and injured none of the intra-abdominal organs is presented.

Key words: Keywords: Gunshot injury, kidney, bullet trajectory
