A clinical audit was undertaken in order to evaluate the compliance in documented clinical practice with consensus evidence based clinical practice guideline recommendations. The results highlight a significant knowledge –practice gap within the audit setting which may have important implication for clinicians and educators regarding the acceptance of the biopsychosocial model and implementation of the evidence based practice into clinical physiotherapy practice.
