Detection of Trypanosoma congolense was carried out by microscopy and PCR in cattle from selected abattoirs in Kaduna metropolis, Nigeria. Two hundred blood samples were randomly collected from cattle in Kawo and Tudun-wada abattoirs, 100 samples each.
