Orhan Yilmaz, Mehmet Ertugrul.

Abstract
This is the first document on Turkish Fino of Tonya (Kobi) dogs raised in province of Trabzon. This study was carried out to determine the phenotypic traits of the Fino of Tonya (Kobi) dogs by comparing with German White Spitz, Japanese Spitz, and Volpino Italiano dogs. To this end, a total of 38 (22 male and 16 female) dogs was analyzed using the Minitab 15 statistical software program by using ANOVA. Descriptive statistics and comparison results were for live weight 9.70.17 kg, and height at shoulders 31.10.27, height at rump 30.10.27, body length 400.40, heart girth circumference 59.60.44, chest width 250.22, cannon circumference 10.10.15, and head length 20.60.27 cm respectively. The overall results of the study demonstrated that Fino of Tonya (Kobi) dogs had a resemblance to the Turkish Dikkulak (Erect-ear) dogs related with live weight and body sizes. The Fino of Tonya (Kobi) dogs reach mature body weight and size at around 1 year of age. From overall results of the current study also revealed that the Fino of Tonya dogs could be searched genetically to define genetic relationship to other Spitz type dog breeds of German White Spitz, Japanese Spitz, and Volpino Italiano which were similar in size.
