A monoarthritis case following mirtazapine use

Hatice Güz, Ayhan Bilgici, Ayşin Mutlu Tomaç.

Abstract
Mirtazapine is an antidepressant drug affecting both noradrenergic
and serotonergic systems with a primary use in the treatment of
depression. In this report, a patient who developed monoarthritis
following mirtazapine treatment with a daily dose of 30 mg, is
presented. All symptoms associated with artritis improved two weeks
after the cessation of mirtazapine treatment. The possibility of
occurence of artritis as a possible side effect of mirtazapine should be
considered.
